birthday party

We were honored to be selected to create a birthday celebration on the grounds of Monmouth University at Woodrow Wilson Hall.  The estate was the perfect backdrop for the mid summers night cocktail party with chandeliers strung amoungst the giant trees.  What party would be not be complete with a flock of black, white and gold flamingos galavanting through the guest.  Stay tuned for a lot more detailed photographs of this amazing party.   Your not going to want to miss  what's to come!

wedding

Urban design studio spent the day in NYC. Always an experience..........between traffic, street fairs and construction ya just never know what to expect. We created a vintage inspired wedding in a muted color palette at the 24 fifth club. The decor perfectly enhanced the architectural details creating that old world charm. A beautiful space for a beautiful couple. Her wish was for a bouquet of shredded tulips and at uds, your wishes come true.

wedding

What is more rich than platinum and more spring than flowering forsythia ! The combination of the 2 created a dramatic effect for guest as they dined under these individual flowering trees. Linens, napkins, china, chairs and covers were all selected by urban design studio to enhance the experience. As the sun set, a table scape of platinum candle holders, pillars and votives added to the richness of the room. Perhaps you noticed, grey and yellow are favorites of urban design studio. A special thank you to Lauren Rutten photography again for capturing these amazing images,

spring is coming

Seasons come and go and with each comes new beginnings and unlimited possibilities. Urban design studio starts of the season with a breath of fresh air and a clean approach to this seasons events. All elements of spring come together to create a beautiful table scape for guests to enjoy at the Upper Montclair Country Club. Pull back the drapes and open the windows, its time to start anew. Special thanks to Lauren Rutten Photography

wedding

Vintage, romantic and eclectic were the words used to describe the brides vision. Fabulous was the term we used when the girls of oh so fab asked us to jump on board. We searched second hand shops for assorted compotes and containers, garden shops for unique bird cages, and the flowers market for softest colored flowers. The final result was well worth the effort. dMdc photography capture that mood perfectly.

party

It started as the guest arrived, asked to dress in white from head to toe. urban design studio created a cocktail tent with white furniture, white flowers, white walls, ceiling and floors. Not an ounce of color. As the french doors opened, guest were lead through a tunnel that gradually turned from white to hot pink to reveal a dinner tent bursting with color. And if that wasn't enough, we built a hot pink patio so guest could enjoy drinks overlooking the water. A cirque for the senses. A shout out to Julia and friends events for bringing us on board and to Michael Leslie for some of these great pre party and party photographs.

wedding

Modern, orbs, different and unexpected, usd loves when a client describes their dream day in those words. Our staff designed and erected a clear plexi chuppah structure filled with floral orbs and cascading orchids for the ceremony and based on the creative direction from oh so fab, injected a punch of orange and blue into the reception. All done while maintaining the ultra modern theme. Images by Sarah Merians Photography

wedding

An old castle in philadelphia was the backdrop for this amazing wedding. The bride came to urban design studio with a location and said , "go with it". No samples, no suggestions just the confidence that we could give her what she wanted and within budget. It was our pleasure

weddings

Our challenge was to design 2 weddings for 2 sisters at the same location but 3 months apart. uds happily accepted the challenge and made each event as individual as each sister. Vintage, romantic, and sophisticated were used to describe the sisters but one slightly more modern than the other. A color palette of blue and white injected with a classic toile was the inspiration. A combination of rectangle and round tables with custom linens filled the room washed with blue up lighting and a water rippling effect on the ceiling. Guest were greeted with a champagne glass with a blue rock candy pop creating the most electric blue champagne. All provided by urban design studio.

For sister number 2, a color palette of pale colors, vintage charm and traditional sophistication were carried through the floral, linens and printed materials. Three different types of centerpieces filled the room while crystal and candlelight provided the atmosphere. The linens varied from a rich puckered taupe to the palest of pinks all provided by urban design studio

wedding

we were contacted by julia and friends event management to create a one of a kind experience for guests attending this one of a kind wedding. The design took on a life of its own as urban design studio created everything from the amazing orchid chandeliers for the ceremony to the custom cabanas on the beach for the after, after party.
