baby boy

When you think baby boy, most people think baby blue..........UDS took a step outside the box.  We created a modern christening without any blue in site.   A simple baby block was our inspiration for all the printed materials used throughout.  For florals, many varieties of succulents were nestled in throughout the arrangements to give it a modern edge.   Think outside the "block"

all star celebration

Her love of converse was the inspiration for this sweet 16.  Started with custom place cards utilizing the converse logo.  Kids were invited into the "All Star" lounge where tables were adorned with suspended converse sneakers accented with flowers and disco balls.  For adult tables UDS created intricate converse inspired wraps "laced up" around vases.  It was truly an "all Star" evening.

wedding

orchids, orchids and more orchids........ beautiful candelabras were placed on each table and adorned with stung orchids flown in from Hawaii intermixed with 3 varieties of strung crystals.  A dramatic entrance piece created utilizing the custom placed cards deigned by UDS utilizing the accent color purple and tons of crystals and strung purple orchids

show stopper

Created a show stopper for out friends at the Upper Montclair Country Club for an event.  Great venue, great people and great food, give them a call for your next event.  We would love to create it for you !

wedding

Is there ever enough rhinestones and crystals......UDS had the pleasure to work with a client and friend ( being their 3rd daughter to get married) to bring this "sparkling event" to life.  We were given the honor this time around to create everything from the save the dates to the wedding place cards and everything in between (more picture to follow).  There were 3 different centerpieces each incorporating the "sparkling" elements that keep the wedding unified.  Its was a grand affair and a magical evening for all who attended.

graduation party

We got a call from one of out friends from Julia and Friends events and we dropped everything to throw a luau.  From designing changing cabanas by the pools to a tropical tiki party in the tent, UDS had as much fun creating as the guests did attending.   And what would a party be without mermaids in the pool.............you go Julia !!!!

wedding

UDS had the pleasure to visit the Jersey Shore this summer and celebrate with our beach brides.  Incorporating the Navy and white awning stripe with custom made chairs covers and table runners ( made by UDS) we created a vintage beach vibe with soft muted colors and a pop of coral/pink on just the 2 farmhouse tables.  White washed square chargers with mixed hob nail glass vases continued the look throughout.

book worm

UDS had the pleasure of creating a wedding for a wonderful couple from Antigua.  We meet with them once and they shared with us their love of books and nature as they book worked in the forestry profession.  The rest was up to us.  The first time they saw anything was when they arrived, and they loved it.    Thanks for trusting us to make your wedding day memorable!

Bouquet

We love when brides like to push the envelope and step out of the box.  Brooches have made a big comeback as many brides add them into their bouquets.  We had the pleasure of creating this bouquet with brooches that the bride collected from friends and family.  A combination of vintage brooches, earrings, pins, rings and bracelets, we spent days wiring and arranging to create this show stopping bouquet that captured everything and everyone that was important to her on her wedding day.  It was our pleasure.

Winter Wonderland

As the Holidays approached, winter wedding became our focus. This bride wanted to bring the winter feeling indoors but without the expected christmas feeling.  The mood was to be a wintery evening as you cozied up in front of the fireplace.  We "built" beautiful iced trees that we used for the ceremony and around the room for the reception.  The centerpieces alternated around the room massed with candles and flowers all in white.  The room was illuminated in a rich amber to create that cozy, romantic feeling.

shower

A shower isn't tissue paper bells and wicker chairs anymore.  More and more brides are taking a more modern approach to the traditional celebration.  This shower took place at a great modern restaurant so the decor was simple and clean but still encompassed the brides vision with custom place cards and menus that urban design studio created.  And what's more dramatic than a combination of potted and cut orchids !
